East Bay Community Action Program Announces Staff Appointment

(East Providence RI, October 25, 2022) - East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is pleased to welcome Mark Zeller, DO, of Newport, RI, to its East Bay Family Health Center at 6 Chafee Blvd. in Newport. As an internal medicine and primary care specialist, Dr. Zeller served in the United States Navy for 14 years working as a primary care physician at numerous Navy hospitals and clinics both nationally and internationally. Most recently, he worked at PACE-RI providing primary and acute care services to adults 55 and older.

Dr. Zeller received his Doctorate from the University of North Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Rice University in Houston, TX. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Zeller is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and passed his 10-year Maintenance of Certification assessment in 2019.

As a member of EBCAP’s Integrated Health Care Team, Dr. Zeller will help direct medical services that focus on health promotion, disease prevention, routine health maintenance visits, and acute care services for all age groups. He will also help educate patients regarding care and treatment plans, diagnoses, medications, and prognoses.
