Edward L. Jackson, 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Joan A. (Babb) Jackson.

Born in London, West Virginia he was a son of the late Carl Jackson and Alberta Burke. Mr. Jackson served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. Edward was a tool maker for Kennametal Company of Cranston before he retired. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid sports fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sisters, Louse McDaniel of London, WV and Phyllis Evans of Fort Washington, MD, three stepchildren, Alicia Alexander, Dexter Alexander and Revelie Niles two grandchildren, Epiphany Smith and Josh Alexander and one great grandchild, Jezereen Alexander. He was the brother of the late Ernestine Murry, Dorothy Jackson and William Jackson.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours, Tuesday 6-8.
