Special Olympics of Rhode Island 2019 Traditional Basketball Tournament

Special Olympics of Rhode Island recently held their 2019 Traditional Basketball Tournament. This tournament was held at the Wheeler School on Wednesday, February 16th and at the Peterson Recreation Center at Providence College. A total of 25 teams from across the state competed in the tournament.

The regular season was once again cut short due to snow storms. Team 1 posted a regular season record of 2-2 and placed 4th in their division at the tournament at Providence College, while Team 2 posted a 3-1 regular season record and then won the GOLD medal in their division at the tournament at the Wheeler School.

Team 1 members : Michael Aguiar, Matthew Allienello, Michael Bullock, Luis Cortijo, Jonathan Solis, & Brian Vieira.

Team 2 members : Jessica Bullock, Katherine Carcieri, Geoffrey Carpenter, Michael Conheeny, Benjamin Patch, Lauren Pereira, & Toneka Rocha.
