EP Recreation to Sponsor Free Meals Program for Youth

The East Providence Department of Recreation announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program for Children. This program is designed primarily to provide meals to children in nonresidential public or provide nonprofit institutions and day camp, or public or private nonprofit residential summer camps that develop during the months of May through September, a food service similar to the National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program.

Meals are available at no separate charge to all children enrolled in the summer camp program held at Martin Middle School, 111 Brown St. East Providence, RI. Meals will also be served free of charge at Pierce Field, 201 Mercer St and Providence Avenue Playground, 50 Providence Ave., both in East Providence, RI.
