Kent Heights Elementary has successful Food Drive

Posted

Students at Kent Heights Elementary School kicked off the holiday season with a Thanksgiving Food Drive, which benefited East Providence's own Hope and Faith Drive. Collecting a total of 1,007 canned goods, the students learned the true meaning of the season by giving back to others.

Along with our faculty and family donations, the food drive was also generously supported by DiPrete Engineering, Big Lots of Seekonk and the staff at Fresenius Medical Care. Several students and friends of Kent Heights helped organize the donated food to get it ready for distribution.

Kent Heights is continuing to collect non-perishable items through the holidays to help support the community. In addition to helping local residents have enough to eat, The Feinstein Foundation is also donating $1 to our school for every item we collect.
