The National Weather Service has issued an alert for accumulating snow to hit EP and area starting Monday and lasting into Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. Be prepared!

According to AccuWeather, Southeastern Massachusetts will bear the brunt of the winter storm in New England with 6-12 inches of snow. Areas from Providence, Rhode Island, to Boston, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Portland and Bangor, Maine, will receive enough snow to shovel and plow.

While the storm on Monday will be fairly compact and heavy in nature, snowfall during Tuesday into Wednesday will be more widespread with a light-to-moderate accumulation in the Northeast.

The second storm will move in from the Midwest later on Monday into Tuesday.
