University of Rhode Island Awards Over 660 Graduate Degrees at Commencement

Kingston, RI - At the University of Rhode Island's 129th Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17, 2015, more than 3,200 undergraduate and 660 graduate students became the University's newest alumni.

The following students from our area who graduated are:

• Edson Ogochukwu Okwelum of East Providence, RI, received a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics
• Jillian A Rebello of East Providence, RI, received a Doctor of Physical Therapy
• Deryl V Pace of East Providence, RI, received a Doctor of Physical Therapy
• Jennifer Guglielmi of Riverside, RI, received a Master of Arts in Education
• Maria Carvalho of East Providence, Rhode, RI, received a Master of Arts in Education
• Beth A Leonardo of Riverside, RI, received a Master of Arts in English
• Robert B Rock of East Providence, RI, received a Master of Public Administration
• Roman A Alferos of East Providence, RI, received a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics
• Nathalie D. Kumiega of Riverside, RI, received a Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science
• Michael McGee of Rumford, RI, received a Master of Science in Nursing
