Introducing "Sir Joe's Birthday Closet"

Posted by Jules1116

On Friday July 19th a few volunteers from Jules Hope Chest transported the first 150 items to fill the newly created "Sir Joe's Birthday Closet" that will be a program available to the children receiving services from Children's Friend. Sir Joe is our logo for the Joseph Silva Memorial division of our non-profit that represents my father the late Joseph Silva who was committed to help all children and families in need to the best of his ability.

Jules Hope Chest is a non-profit organization that was established to provide the extra hope and enhancement of items and programs that are truly essentials of childhood. They are the items that are easily cut from budgets but we are making them our priority to allow children to just be kids and not have to worry about the needs and essentials for their childhood. We are committed to helping the most vulnerable at need children in the state of Rhode Island by providing opportunities and resources that they may otherwise not experience.

"It all started with a vision that built off my father's legacy. It's been a whirlwind but completely and utterly amazing to be able to help so many at risk children, families in need, organizations and communities in our beautiful state.  The newly created birthday closet is a part of our 12 months of Giving and helps us pay it forward all year round." stated by Julie Silva, Founder/CEO.

Jules Hope Chest is proud to announce the start of "Sir Joe's Birthday Closet" that will be housed in the Children's Friend Office located on Summer Street in Providence, RI. This special closet will store a variety of birthday gifts and ice-breakers that the Children's Friend Staff, Social Workers & or Head Start Teachers can fill out a interoffice request form to obtain an item for a child that is an active part of the organizations network. The reality of this birthday closet is to provide hope and recognition to all children regardless of family income or social status. We are committed to instilling hope while enhancing the lives of children...one child at a time.
