American Association of University Women Taunton Area Branch Meeting

On Tuesday, October 16th, at 6:00 PM the Taunton branch of the AAUW (American Association of University Women) will meet at the Holiday Inn, 700 Myles Standish Blvd., Taunton. A dinner will be served to members, followed by an after-dinner speaker, Dr. Krissoff Boehm, who will talk about African American women and the second migration. She is the author of: Making a Way out of No Way: African American Women and the Second Great Migration, published by University Press of Mississippi.

Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Undergraduates may become AAUW affiliate members.

The AAUW, founded in 1881, advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. Additional information about the AAUW can be found on their website at www.aauw.org.
