GFWC Taunton and Raynham New Officers Installed

The GFWC Taunton and Raynham Jr. Woman's Club celebrated the year's end with a holiday gathering at Lorenzo's in Middleboro, where they announced the three winners of their fundraiser raffle which raised money for scholarships and charities. It was at this time that they also installed their new club officers who will be serving a two year term 2019-2021. They are President Edie Edlund, Vice President Robin Gendron, Recording Secretary Cindy Brogan, Corresponding Secretary Joanna Alden, Treasurer Nancy Clark, Auditor Nancy Martin and Director Cindy Leonard.

Milestone pins were awarded to members as well. Nancy Brown for forty years, Cheryl Carlos twenty years, Jane Pittsley ten years and Cindy Leonard for five years. Perfect Attendance awards were presented to Vel Bleau, Judy Ackerman, Edie Edlund, Joyce Clark, Robin Gendron and Denise Wheeler. They also welcomed two new members to the club, Sarah Brink and Robin Broberg. The members painted ornaments and decorated a tree which was delivered to the Taunton Nursing Home. They also fill two tabletop trees with paper stars made by them and children at a recent local art event, and delivered the trees to Brockton Veterans Hospital.

The club meetings resume on Monday January 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Silver Platter Restaurant Bristol Plymouth High School in Taunton. Women 18 or older are invited to attend. Call Joyce at 508 824-3382 or find us at www.tauntonraynhamjuniors.org
