Holiday Activities for GFWC Taunton and Raynham Jr. Woman's Club

On the town for the 105th Annual Lighting of the Green in Taunton were the GFWC Taunton and Raynham Jr. Woman's Club. They were part of the festivities that evening portraying Mrs. Claus and Santa's Elves reading to the children and handing out Cookies and hot cocoa. Members Edie Edlund (club president ), Robin Gendron (Vice President), Cindy Brogan, Nancy Clark, Brenda Saben, Cheryl Carlos, and Nancy Martin, as Santa's elves, helped Mrs. Claus (Nancy Brown) entertain the hundreds of visitors coming into Hometown Furnishings on Main Street with readings of The Christmas Story and The Night Before Christmas. They also supplied the sugar cookies and DeAvilas Catering provided the cocoa. The theme, 'It's a Wonderful Life", was the general all over feeling for the entire night. The children weren't the only ones smiling. This was the GFWC Taunton and Raynham Jr woman's Club's first Light's on event and was so well received that they hope it will become an annual one.
