John J. “Jack” Wolstencroft, Jr., 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the loving husband of Jo-Ann M. (Richardson) Wolstencroft for 43 years. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late John J. and Margaret M. (Murphy) Wolstencroft, Sr. Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter, Sarah A. Salera and her husband Paul of Rehoboth as well as their three children, Jake, Taegan, and Gavin. He also leaves one son, John J. Wolstencroft III and his husband Tiago Costa as well as their son Jeremy. Jack also leaves four siblings, Richard Wolstencroft, Ruth Korlacki, Susan Wildman, Linda Walker, and nieces and nephews. Jack was a graduate of Lowell State College. He was a Senior Underwriter for Amica Insurance Company, retiring after 35 years in 2002. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, taking family vacations, celebrating any and all events, proudly cheering on his kids and his grandchildren from the side lines or helping out coaching one of their many sports teams. He also enjoyed going to the gym, golfing, traveling, bicycling, kayaking, reading, the Red Sox, the Patriots, telling stories and spending time with his many loving friends. He was the most gentle and loving soul who showed kindness to everyone. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be private.
