Join the American Legion Auxiliary

Posted

Founded in 1919, The American Legion Auxiliary has nearly 1 million members nationally from all walks of life. The Auxiliary administers hundreds of volunteer programs, gives tens of thousands of hours to its communities and to veterans, and raises millions of dollars to support its own programs, as well as other worthwhile charities familiar to Americans. It is all accomplished with volunteers.

In the spirit of Service, Not Self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.

The Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 302 at 84 Bay State Road, Rehoboth meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm at the post. Members have to be a spouse, a son or daughter of a veteran. If any sons, daughters or spouses of veterans wish to volunteer in the such a rewarding organization as the Auxiliary please get in touch with the Rehoboth Director of Veterans Services, Jake Kramer.
E-mail Jake at veterans@rehobothma.gov  or call 508-252-4467.

Looking forward to meeting new members.

Lorraine A. Botts
Auxiliary Vice President
