Local Attleboro Special Needs Child Receives Dream Come True
Attleboro, MA – September 19, 2022: Daniel DaSilva was recently granted a dream from the Sunshine Foundation for a trip to Jellystone. Sunshine Foundation answers dreams to children with life-long chronic illnesses and conditions such as: spina bifida, cerebral palsy, severe low functioning autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, and many others. Daniel lives with the challenges of having low functioning autism.
Sunshine Foundation provides a Dream Come True for children that may not qualify for other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis. Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of donations from individuals and corporations to make these dreams a reality.
Sunshine Foundation was able to answer Daniel’s “dream come true” through generous donors, and his crowdfunding page on www.adoptadream.org
“Thank you to all that made Daniel’s trip possible. It was so much more than just a trip- there are not enough words to express what this meant to my family. We are so grateful that we got the opportunity to go to Jellystone. Daniel had the most amazing time. He got to jump on the big jumping pillow, play in the huge pool, swim in the lake, and take tons of trips on the golf cart we rented to get around the campground. Saturday night Daniel requested to go on a late-night golf trip, so we took him around the entire campground for about an hour. It was one of the many highlights of our trip. The day we left; Daniel kept putting my suitcase back in the bedroom. Each time I tried to put it on the porch to leave, he would put it back. :( It is safe to say, he did not want to leave. Both kids had very long faces the day we left, which broke my heart. I wish we never had to leave, that is how fun it was! We are hoping we can go back sometime! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone at the Sunshine Foundation that made this trip possible for Daniel and the family. “– Daniel’s mom, Kelly
