Time Flies for Anawan Oakton Grange Members

Another month has passed. Boy oh boy does time fly. This Grange member just returned from a Grange tour to the Amish country in Pennsylvania. We were so privileged to visit the pristine farms and enjoy foods that were served us at their home. Just another benefit of being a grange member. Lots of activities available. Now at the hall next month; after the April health night where we learned about the new food chart that now recommends a small plate divided into fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins, and dairy on the side as our guide for good nutrition, we look forward to an earth day program. We also heard a prediction from the Old Farmers Almanac that it will be a sizzling summer. Just a thought from the same source "the higher the clouds, the finer the weather, and when clouds appear as towers, the earth is refreshed by frequent showers."

May 12th is an open meeting to celebrate our fourth anniversary. We will have a magician performing his magic to keep us enthralled and amazed. Please come to help us celebrate. The May 26th meeting will be our inspection as we present a Memorial service to remember the members who died last year.
We host Bay state Pomona on May 23rd for a memorial service.
