Caleb Palmer Dyer Earns Rank of Eagle Scout

Posted

Caleb Palmer Dyer of Annawon Council Boy Scouts of America's Troop 3 No. Dighton has earned the highest rank, Eagle Scout . A ceremony in Taunton District Court was held on June 2, 2015.  Caleb has been involved in Scouting for 11 years ; First as a Cub Scout in Pack 2 Rehoboth then with Troop 3 No. Dighton under the guidance of Scoutmaster , Michael Cordeiro . Caleb's Eagle Scout project entailed building a new community bulletin board @ the Rehoboth Transfer Station with Paver Art brick work and refurbishing two existing boards @ the Blanding Library and the Rehoboth Senior Center . The town of Rehoboth is in the process of going paperless with public notices and this project seemed appropriate to reaching this goal . The community bulletin boards allow residents to access public information 24/7 in the three precincts of town . He taught the other boys of his troop carpentry , roofing and brick work skills . Work was completed by fellow Scouts of Troop 3 and members of his extended family . The materials were generously donated by friends & members of the Dyer family . Caleb independently met with the Rehoboth Board of Health and Rehoboth Town Clerk , Laura Schwall to secure the proper permission to proceed with this project and periodically consulted with Rehoboth Town Hall at each stage of the project .
Caleb is the son of Lisa - Marie & Nathaniel Dyer ; grandson of E. Otis & Jean Dyer of Rehoboth , Robert & Mary Sanford of South Attleboro and the late Joan Sanford .
