D-R School Dept. Changing After School Provider

The Dighton Rehoboth school department is changing its before- and after-school provider from the YMCA to Champions. The Newman YMCA has been running the program at Palmer River Elementary School and the Old Colony YMCA in Taunton has been running the program at Dighton Elementary. In the fall, Champions, which runs the after school program at Martin Elementary School in Seekonk, will coordinate the programs for D-R. Superintendent Anthony Azar told the Sun Chronicle that the district wanted a program that focused more on student achievement and was more closely aligned with the district’s goals.
