GFWC Taunton Junior Woman's Club K-9 Meet ad Greet

The GFWC Taunton Junior Woman's Club held a K-9 Meet ad Greet at Pet Supplies Plus in Raynham on November 26 and 27 to benefit the Invest-A-Dog Organization. with a Diane Whittaker , Vice President of Vest-A-Dog, set up a table of items for sale along with display board. She was accompanied by her black Labrador Retriever, Quinn. Quinn is a cadaver sniffing dog who modelled two types of canine vests during this two day event. For part of the day on Saturday, Officer Frank Pacheco from the Raynham Police Department brought his beautiful black German Shepherd, Kyro, to help share , along with Diane, and Quinn, their experiences and the training involved in working with the dogs.

The GFWC Taunton Junior Woman's Club had their own table filled with a large variety of baked goods for those in attendance. They also offered a free raffle package consisting of a large brown stuffed dog, a Vest-A-Dog coffee mug, and cold beverage container. A donation jar was available for patrons to help support the organization, and all the left over baked goods from this event were donated to Samaritan House in Taunton.

The GFWC Taunton Junior Woman's Club extend their gratitude and thanks to the entire staff of Pet Supplies Plus, Diane Whittaker and Officer Frank Pacheco for all their kind assistance in making this event such a success and helping to raise $945.04 towards the purchase of a canine vest.
