Paula Fernandes, Second Grade Teacher at Palmer River Elementary School, Presented with the Life Time Achievement Award

Mrs. Fernandes has been a member of the Dighton Rehoboth Regional School District for over 30 years. She began her career as a teacher’s aide, then became a teacher in 1994 after earning a Bachelor Degree at Bridgewater State College. She earned a Master’s Degree from Simmons College in Special Education in 1994. Mrs. Fernandes has taught Kindergarten and Second grade at Palmer River, where she will retire from this June. She has been a Rehoboth PTSA member; Executive Board Member; and Teacher Representative for over thirty years. She has attended hundreds of PTSA meetings, actively supported fundraising projects, and served on the Playground committee. Mrs. Fernandes has been more then a teacher; she has been a positive role model and true advocate.

After the announcement, Mrs. Fernandes was presented the Life Time Achievement Award during the June 3rd Rehoboth PTSA meeting. Congratulations!
