Rehoboth Garden Club Spring Cleaning

For the May meeting of the Rehoboth Garden Club the members will be welcoming Spring by cleaning and replanting the Carpenter Museum herb garden on Monday, May 4, 2015 beginning at 9 AM. Please bring garden tools and gloves. Pat Knowles, our host, and her co-hosts Lucille Amaral, Norma Blackledge, Nancy Hartwell and Linda McHugh will prepare a picnic lunch for volunteering members.

In preparation for our annual plant sale, members will clean up the Goff Hall shed on Thursday May 14, 2015 at 6 PM. Club members will gratefully accept all plant donations from members and the general community at the shed on Friday morning May 15, 2015 at 9 AM. Please join us for our Annual Plant Sale on May 16, 2015 from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Goff Hall Barn Shed, 124 Bay State Road, Rehoboth, MA. A beautiful variety of annuals, hanging plants, perennials including herbs, vegetables, ornamental grasses, bushes and trees will be available. All proceeds will fund our scholarship program as well as civic projects.

The Rehoboth Garden Club is once again offering a second semester $1,000.00 scholarship to a high school senior or graduate student from Rehoboth and surrounding communities. Applicants must have been accepted to an accredited college or graduate school. Applicants must major in some area of natural science such as landscape architecture or design, agricultural sciences, forestry, environmental sciences, natural resource management, land use management, horticulture, botany, agronomy, soil and crop science or marine biology. Completed applications should be mailed to 117 Carpenter Street address.
