School Vacation FUN! at Providence Children’s Museum December 26 - January 3

Providence Children’s Museum is the BEST place for school vacation fun! The Museum is open Monday, December 26 - Tuesday, January 3 from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Families explore Coming to Rhode Island, an updated exhibit with a new gallery featuring a replica of Fort Adams, and join special activities all week long:


Animal Experiences
Monday, December 26 • 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Kids have close encounters with furry friends, slithering snakes and other incredible creatures and learn fascinating facts about them from animal expert Dave Marchetti of Animal Experiences.


Sparky's Puppets
Tuesday, December 27 • 1:00 & 2:00 PM
Sparky’s Puppets dramatize favorite children’s stories with colorful hand puppets, playful humor and plenty of audience participation. Help a scientist build a time machine, and join the puppets’ playful journey from the past to the future. Recommended for ages 4 and up.


The Rhythm Room
Wednesday, December 28 • 1:00 & 2:00 PM
Kids explore rhythms and make some joyful noise as they clap, stomp, beat bucket drums, and try out different percussion instruments. Recommended for ages 4 and up.


Circus Dynamics
Thursday, December 29 • 1:00 & 2:00 PM
This high-energy vaudevillian-style show includes hat tricks, juggling, hoop dancing, comedy, audience participation and more! Recommended for ages 4 and up.


New Year Noisemakers
Friday, December 30 • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Families create shakers, popsicle stick harmonicas, and other festive noisemakers to use to ring in 2017!


Bridge Builders
Tuesday, December 27 - Tuesday, January 3 • 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Build bridges from a variety of different materials. Design and construct bridges from spaghetti, make paper bridges and test their strength with pennies, and create bridges from natural materials.

Providence Children’s Museum – play is powerful!

September through March, open Tuesday through Sunday and Monday school holidays, 9 AM to 6 PM, and selected Fridays until 8 PM. April through August, open 7 days.
