“Each year, my husband Rob and I take part in the Rehoboth Clean Up. This year, we worked from April 19th through the 25th, focusing on the neighborhoods between Rocky Hill Road and Homestead Avenue, where we picked up trash to help keep our community clean.
While the effort makes a difference for a short time, the litter always seems to return. It’s disheartening to see how quickly the mess builds up again.
If everyone took just a few minutes once a month to pick up even a small amount of litter, it could have a meaningful impact. Better yet, if people simply stopped tossing their trash on the ground in the first place, we wouldn’t have this problem.
Please, think before you litter—and if you’re laughing as you do it, consider how immature that behavior really is. Our community deserves better.”
Sincerely,
Linda Coolidge
