Sharon Rae (Whittaker) Kanarian

Sharon Rae (Whittaker) Kanarian, our beautiful matriarch has returned to God. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island Sharon was a long-term resident of Rehoboth Mass., and Newport Beach, CA. Following a lengthy battle with cancer, our wife, mother and treasured Nana left this earth plane on August 21, 2021. Surrounded by her loving family she remained true to herself throughout her last breaths. Her final words to our family were to love each other, all human beings, our planet and to be kind. She told everyone that she would be with us whenever we saw Dragonflies, Bees, Hummingbirds and Butterflies. Sharon was deeply spiritual and truly connected to Heaven and Earth. Her last hours were filled with strength, dignity and faith. Our Nana carried the love, light and life-force of God each moment of every day. Sharon's most treasured memories were traveling with her family and friends and being by the ocean. Following graduation from the University of Rhode Island she became an academic and career counselor at the Community College of Rhode Island. She is survived by her husband Kirk "K",daughter Demi Mills (Rich), son Covey Lazouras (Wendy), and her precious grandsons Zachary, Brayden, Tyde and Cayde. She is also survived by her sisters Lynne Coombs (David) and Lori Drady as well as nephews Jonathan and Matthew Coombs and Robert Worthington Jr. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date in New England.
