Covid-19 Cases Exploding in Seekonk, Rehoboth

Seekonk and Rehoboth are seeing a huge jump in positive Covid-19 cases. According to the state’s Department of Health, at the end of the two week testing period which concluded on November 18, Seekonk reported 67 new cases for a total case count of 280. The rate per 100,000 people was 34.2. The daily positivity rate is 7.08 percent.

Seekonk and Rehoboth have been given the designation of red, which is reserved for cities and towns with the highest average of new infections.

Rehoboth reported 50 new cases for a total of 181. The rate per 100,000 people was 28.1. The daily positivity rate is 5.46 percent.

Other red communities include Fall River, with 1078 new cases and a daily positivity rate of 10.88 percent; New Bedford, with 548 new cases and a daily positivity rate of 7.31 percent; and Swansea, with 147 new cases and a daily positivity rate of 8.87 percent.
