Joseph J. Teixeira, Jr., 56, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Jean-Marie (Bahry) Teixeira for thirty one years. Born in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Joseph J., Sr. and Theresa (Fortin) Teixeira. Joseph was a remarkable construction operator for 37 years and a community role model for all youth athletes. Joseph dedicated over a decade of coaching to town sports. In his free time, Joseph spent his time cherishing his family and friends, traveling and playing yard games. Besides his loving wife, he leaves three children, Cassandra T. Nunes and her husband, Joseph, of Swansea, Joseph A. Teixeira and his fiancée, Jenna, and Jacob J. Teixeira all of Seekonk; a beloved godson, Ramon M. Lopez and his wife, Stephanie, of Hobesound, FL; four grandchildren, Leah and Lauren Nunes, Isabella and Julianna Lopez, a brother, Michael Teixeira and his wife, Charlene, of Seekonk; a sister, Linda Horton and her husband, Dan, of Seekonk and many beloved nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 358 Waterman Ave., East Providence. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
