Support for Caregivers

Seekonk, MA – Caregivers, you are the ones who face the challenge of providing direct care to serve others every day; we can help. The Seekonk Public Library has services and information that can help you as you support those in your life:

Homebound Delivery
Seekonk residents who are homebound due to physical limitations or illnesses, long term or temporary, are able to enjoy library materials brought to their home through our Homebound Delivery Service. Library Adult Services staff will help select materials that will meet their interests. Volunteers will deliver the materials to the participant’s door and return borrowed materials to the library. You can sign up today to be contacted for more information

Computers, Wi-Fi Hotspots, Technology Training from Home
Exchanging email and text messages or sharing digital photos are great ways to keep in touch with others and prevent isolation. For help learning to use technology, visit the library’s Computer Help page for links to free online resources and LinkedIn Learning professional tutorials, free and always available for Seekonk library cardholders .

Binge Boxes
Movies are great for keeping our spirits high. Whatever your favorites are, Hallmark Romance, Royalty, Musicals & more, we have Binge Boxes waiting for you. Binge Boxes are ready to go boxes with several DVD movies grouped by subject. Call the library today to see what Bing Boxes are available.

Studies have shown that with training you can gain up to 10 years of improvement in brain function. BrainHQ, available for free on the library’s website, provides online game-based exercises for help with Attention, Brain Speed, Memory, People Skills, Intelligence and Navigation. These two minute or less interactive exercises are both fun and challenging and can provide guidance for the areas you want to improve in. Begin your free access to BrainHQ by setting up an account on the library’s website
