Attleboro Children’s Charity Donates to Support Seekonk Families

Posted

The Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children, best known for their “Christmas is for Kids” program, supports children and their families throughout the area in many ways, including a backpack giveaway program, daycare support and performing arts scholarships. They also offer workshops to aid struggling families to achieve financial stability. And their mission extends beyond Attleboro to encompass adjoining towns as well.

The Council recently made a donation to Doorways of over 500 pounds of canned fruits and vegetables, ramen noodles and grape jelly. Their donation will grace the dinner tables of homes throughout Seekonk, and their support is more important than ever, as the cost of gasoline, fuel oil, and groceries continues to increase. Over seventy families rely on Doorways on a regular basis, and Doorways, in turn, relies on people like the Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children. Their good work is a light unto the community.
