Barrington hands Riverside/EP Central Majors 1st loss.

Title game to be played in Barrington at Sherwood Field in Barrington, 14 Congress Road at 5:45 pm

The Barrington, RI major division little league all-stars outlasted Riverside/Ep Central Sunday night in a 2-0 victory at the Ron Silva LL complex off Forbes Street in Riverside. The game was crisply played and was scoreless until Barrington scored in the top of the sixth inning. Barrington scored both runs on pass ball strikeouts as runners on third base took advantage and scored as the ball was thrown to first. Riverside/Ep Central got a line drive single from Alex Enright in the bottom half of the sixth but only managed the one hit to suffer their first loss of the tournament. The teams will play again tonight, Monday, July 19th, for the District Two championship. The game will be at 5:45 pm at Barrington at Sherwood Field, 14 Congress Road.
