Dighton-Rehoboth to Start Hybrid Learning

Posted

Less than a month after beginning the 2020-2021 academic year with remote learning, the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District plans to begin a hybrid model on October 13.

In a letter sent to parents on Monday, Superintendent Anthony Azar noted that October 13th is the date for grades K-1, grades 5-6 and grades 9 and 12 in cohort A reporting for in person learning. On October 19th, cohort A of grades 2-3-4, grades 7-8 and grades 10-11 will follow.

“We applaud each of you in making sure that your child was school ready when we began our school year on September 18th,” Azar wrote. “Our attendance for both remote and in person learning has been in the mid to high 90s and it has been clear that our remote model has worked well when compared to last year's remote model.”

Azar noted that parents “have a choice to decide which learning model is appropriate for their child(ren). This choice is still applicable regardless of what was selected in previous surveys.”
