East Providence Elks in Action!

Posted

The East Providence Elks does great things for the community, many of which you may be unaware. Some of these charitable acts include supporting The Bread of Life Food Pantry and We Share Hope, hosting Family Day and Trunk or Treat (Children's Halloween Event), as well as an Annual Children's Fishing Derby. We provide Thanksgiving (Turkey) Baskets for those in need and host a variety of events, not the least of which is a Mother's Day Breakfast, a Father's Day Steak Fry and Thanksgiving dinner (the latter of which is free of charge for all). The Lodge has a Charitable Knitting Group that provides a variety of hand-made items to residents of the Veterans' Home in Bristol and other organizations where we can help. The East Providence Elks Riders sponsor the Motorcycle Mystery Ride to benefit The IMPOSSIBLE DREAM FOUNDATION, now in its 25th year.

For more information on the Elks or on how you can join this incredible charitable organization, please feel free to drop an email to bpoe2337secretary@yahoo.com, ask one of your friends who is an Elk, or go to www.elks.org.
