Eleanor M. LaRocca

Eleanor M. LaRocca, 101, formerly of Red Fern Grove Apartments, Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, died peacefully on August 8, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Angelo M. LaRocca.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Michael and Louise (Maiola) Rosa, she lived in East Providence for sixty-nine years.

Mrs. LaRocca was a receptionist at Holy Angels Church for eight years before retiring in 1997.

Eleanor was a communicant of Holy Angels Church and St. Martha’s Church and was a volunteer Eucharistic Minister for the sick. She was a member of St. Martha’s Church choir and the Friendly Visitors group. She also was a former member of the Bristol Community Chorus.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith Ann (LaRocca) Carusi and her husband Emidio of Barrington; two sons, Raymond LaRocca and his wife Lorraine of Plainville, MA and David G. LaRocca of Birmingham, AL; a sister, Mary L. Rosa of East Providence; a brother, William J. Rosa of Johnston; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Luigi Rosa.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday August 14, 2018 from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
