Joseph L. Ianiere, 95, formerly of Indian Road, Riverside, died peacefully on October 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Alice M. (Minardi) Ianiere.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Guiseppe and Anna (Riccutti) Ianiere, he lived in East Providence for all of his life.

Mr. Ianiere was a bottling shop supervisor for the former Narragansett Brewing Co., Cranston for 34 years before retiring in 1980.

Joseph was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of the Riverside American Legion Post #10.

He is survived by his children, Alicia L. Ianiere and her husband Paul Cullen of Newton, MA, Susan J. Roberts of Cranston and her partner Clif Moore of East Providence, Stephen J. Ianiere of Brooklyn, NY and Patricia M. Ianiere and her wife Kristine J. Merz of Pawtucket and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Katherine Cullen. He was the brother of the late Lillian (Ianiere) Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside on Tuesday October 16, 2018 at 10 a.m.

Calling hours are Monday October 15, 2018 in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 5-8 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
