Palmer River News

Posted

The month of December was busy at Palmer River Elementary School.  Students were busy hosting a variety of fundraisers including a craft fair to benefit a local animal shelter, a toy drive to in conjunction with Christmas Is For Kids, to benefit local Rehoboth families, and a fourth grade bucket drumming performance which raised money and canned goods for the Rehoboth Food Pantry.

Our second graders enjoyed a special reading of the Polar Express.  Mrs. Grant also worked with the second graders to perform a special rendition of the song "Hot Chocolate."  At the end of the special reading, students enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate.

In January, students will be treated to a special performance by OOCH called, “The Secret of Kindness.”  This performance will teach students different ways to be kind, random acts of kindness, paying it forward, and being kind when it’s difficult.  A special thanks to our PTSA for sponsoring this performance for our students.
