In comparison, the statewide daily positivity rate is 3.72 percent.

The 14 day average daily incidence rate for Seekonk is 18.4 per 100,000 residents.

The 14 day average daily incidence rate for Swansea is 18.8 per 100,000 residents.

“We are having a little bit of an upswing,” Rehoboth’s Public Health Nurse Geraldine Hamel told the Board of Selectmen Monday. “Every patient that I have talked to has what are called ‘milder’ symptoms. It’s predominantly aches, pains, a head cold. Nobody was hospitalized. Of the people I spoke to, everybody was vaccinated.”

Hamel said there are no new mandates but advised anyone who is concerned about getting Covid to wash their hands frequently, wear a mask, and engage in social distancing.
