Seekonk Jr. Warriors go to post season play!

The Seekonk Jr. Warriors football teams extended their season and made it to the playoffs. The 5th Grade team played on Tuesday, November 1st and lost to the Central Falls Panthers 19-0. The 6th grade team lost their game to the New Bedford Whalers 18-0 also on November 1st. The 8th grade team lost a hard fought game to the Central Falls Panthers Tuesday night with a final score of 27-21. The Mighty Mite team played on Tuesday October 25th against the Cumberland Colts and lost 25-14. The 7th grade team beat the Darlington Braves at home, under the lights on Tuesday 11/1, to a score of 26-6. They will play in a semi-final game sometime in the next week.

The Jr. Warrior Cheerleaders competed in the AYC Blackstone Valley State Championships on Saturday October 29th, at the URI Ryan Center.

The Flag/Mighty Mite cheerleaders went home with the Best Stunts award.

The Division 10 squad placed 1st in the Small Red Division, and was crowned State Champions.

The Division 12 squad placed 2nd in the Small Red Division.

The Division 13 squad also placed 2nd in the Small Red Division.

The Division 10 squad also received the overall Spirit Award for the Afternoon Session.

This marks the 2nd year in a row that all 3 Seekonk Jr. Warriors competitive cheerleading squads will advance to the AYC New England Regional Cheer Championships. The Regional Cheer Championships for the 2011 season will be held at the DCU Center in Worchester on Sunday November 27th.
