The East Providence City Council will hold its second annual free Veterans Day Appreciation Dinner on November 13, 2024. The dinner will be at 6 PM at St. Martha's lower Church Hall on Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, RI.
Ward Four Councilman Rick Lawson, a veteran of the US Air Force, organized an East Providence Veteran's Advisory Committee with council colleagues. "It is a great opportunity to honor the many veterans in our area," said Lawson. "It isn't much, but a free dinner and time spent together is meant to show our appreciation as a community."
The advisory committee hosts several of these events throughout the year at various locations. Please contact a City Council member if you would like to join the committee.
"No RSVP is needed for the November 13th dinner. Veterans and their family are invited to just attend and enjoy a full meal and break bread with fellow veterans and residents," added Lawson.
