Worldwide Knit-In Public Day at Slater Mill

There is no better place to gather in celebration of the fiber arts than at the birthplace of the contemporary textile industry in America, Slater Mill. Over the course of the day, visitors will have the option to take part in numerous events:
-Yarn bombing the Frances Turbine, which powered the mill in the mid 1800’s
-Free self-guided tours of the Slater Mill museum
-A Yard Sale of de-accessioned museum collections, Dursin Merino roving, pattern books & more
-Berroco Raffle Bags
-Yarn Swap
-Demonstration by the RI Spinners Guild
-Free knitting instruction and tips from the RI Hook & Needle Guild
Music, food trucks, beverages, and shady seating, and free parking provided
