Congratulations to Mr. Tarasevich for becoming this year’s Teacher of the Year at Edward R. Martin Middle School.

Mr. Tarasevich is an 8th grade English Teacher at Martin. He is well respected by his colleagues within our school as well as in the district, he is well liked by families, and most importantly adored by his students. More affectionately known as Mr. T, Paul creates rigorous lessons for his students. He is extremely diligent in his teaching and communication with students and families. Mr. T creates a fun and enthusiastic environment for his students. Finding different ways to reach kids through music, technology, athletics and more while delivering content and helping students prepare for high school and beyond. Paul’s commitment to Martin Middle School and East Providence is noticed by his peers and the school community as he is always demonstrating “Wildcat Pride.” Mr. T is completely committed to his students and their growth. Here is what one staff member said about Mr. T, “Mr T goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching all students at Martin Middle School. He demonstrates great leadership skills which will make a great impact on his students reaching success.” Another comment from the family of a student at MMS about Mr. T, “He has inspired my son to look forward to English and learning. He has made moving up to Honors classes fun. He relates to the kids with respect and an authenticity that the students respect and appreciate.” Most importantly, this final comment is from one of Mr. Tarasevich’s students, “Mr. T has the funniest way to put a smile on my face every day, he gives us enough time to do the work and explains it more than three times if we need to. Mr. T deserves to be the teacher of the year because everyone loves him!” Congratulations, Mr. T! We are so lucky to have you on our team!!!
