Friends Of Library Hold “A Taste of Fall” Raffle

The Friends of the East Providence Public Library will hold a “Taste of Fall” raffle at the Fall Book Sale at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence, from October 3 to 6, 2024. More than $900 in prizes for all ages will be offered, including a 20” square hand-crafted chess board, made of walnut and maple. Also offered are tickets to Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant, gift cards to Shaw’s Supermarket, BJ’s Wholesale Club, IHOP, Uncle Tony’s Pizza and Pasta and Seekonk Grand Prix. More prizes will be added as received. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available now during library hours at Weaver or Riverside Library or they can be purchased at the Members Only Preview Book Sale at Weaver Library October 3 from 6 to 8 p.m., on October 4 and 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the book sale at Weaver, and on October 6 at Weaver from 1 to 3 PM. Proceeds will benefit special programs and concerts and will help to provide museum passes for library patrons. The drawing will be held at the book sale at 3 PM on October 6. You do not have to be present to win.
