Hennessey School News

Hennessey students and staff came together to celebrate the HARD WORK, PERSEVERANCE and EFFORT that our students in Grade 3-5 exhibited during the administration of our ELA RICAS state testing in April. Students were encouraged by the younger Hennessey Heroes who made posters and cheered during our RICAS parade. We know that hard work and effort will continue for our Math RICAS testing that will be held in May. #HennesseyHeroPride

It was a “spirited” April at Hennessey and the students and staff at Hennessey always love our spirit days to show their creativity and school spirit. In May, our school spirit days will be Fitness Day and Red, White and Blue Day. #HennesseyLovesASpiritDay

Our staff is wrapping up our school-wide text based PLC on Fostering Resilient Learners. Staff members are learning new ways to better serve our students each day. Shout out to all of the Hennessey School Staff for taking part in this important work and dedicating their time to push our practices and thinking forward. #BetterTogether #AlwaysStriveToBeBetter

In April, students and staff focused on our new core values of EMPATHY and ACCEPTANCE. Students learned what it means to have empathy for others and accepting one another. In May, we will have a focus on TEAMWORK and what that looks like within our school community. #CoreValuesTeaching

Students are excited for our annual Jump Rope for Heart that will be held in May in all Physical Education classes. All money that is raised will be donated to the American Heart Association. We wrapped up our Pacer Test Competition and one of our 5th graders had 110 laps!!

We are looking forward to all of our HENNESSEY HEROES being ATTENDANCE HEROES (Here, Everyday, Ready to Learn, On Time) and wrapping up 4th quarter strong! As always, we know the importance of always being SAFE, RESPECTFUL and PROUD in all that we do each day! #HennesseyRising
