New Bedford, Mass.—The New Bedford Whaling Museum today began a summer-long program to connect children of all ages and their families with a unique marine animal each week through both online and in-person activities.

The program, called “Creature Feature”, will feature a new animal each week through the end of August. Each week, the museum will post a video on their Facebook and Instagram pages. Every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the museum will host in-person activities for museum members and visitors.

“On Wednesdays, the New Bedford Whaling Museum is the place to be this summer, because we will be providing exciting, interactive experiences, including live animal encounters and much more,” said Christina Turner, Director of Education and Public Programs for the New Bedford Whaling Museum. “Each week, we will get to know a new creature and explore ways we can help our underwater friends.”

Each week’s featured creature and a full list of events can be found at the New Bedford Whaling Museum’s Creature Feature webpage.
