Posted

Paul Kitchen, who has served as Business Manager for the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District for the last two years, recently submitted a letter of resignation. Kitchen’s last day is July 16.

“He has served in his role with the utmost professionalism and he will truly be missed,”  Dighton-Rehoboth School Superintendent Anthony Azar said Wednesday.

Assistant Superintendent Joe Pirraglia said Kitchen was “a wealth of knowledge.” “(Kitchen) has been super supportive to me personally,” Pirraglia noted. “We wish him the best of luck going forward.”

School committee chairman Aaron Morse said Kitchen had also served as a facilities manager and assisted with the installation of the HVAC systems in the schools. “It came in handy this past year,” Morse explained. “We’ll just always be grateful for everything he did for the district to get things going this year.”

“(Kitchen’s) information, his knowledge, his background was invaluable,” added committee member Eliza Couture. Kitchen previously worked for the Fairhaven school department, the Freetown-Lakeville school district and at the Fall River schools. He has a master’s degree in finance and also holds a law degree.
