Frederick “Freddy” J. Castrataro

Seekonk – Frederick “Freddy” J. Castrataro, 63, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Pelletier) Castrataro for thirty-two years. Born in Providence, he was a son of Marie A. (Duarte) Bell of Panama City, FL, and the late Frederick J. Castrataro.

Freddy worked as a landscaper for many years and more recently was a self-employed handyman, who would work on and repair anything that called him to task. In his free time, Freddy loved to go camping and enjoyed all the preparations leading up to the camping trip itself. He also enjoyed to meticulously mow and manicure his lawn, sometimes several times a week and followed up with frequent visits to the beach. Freddy will be lovingly remembered by all his family and dear friends.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Anthony Ryan Castrataro of Seekonk; a sister, Diane Hart and her husband, Gerald, of Woodstock, GA; three brothers, John Castrataro and his wife, Susan, of Exeter, Joseph Castrataro of Providence, and James Bell and his wife, April, of Panama City, FL; extended family, Donna, Lori and Sue, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral was held on Thursday, September 16th at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Ave., Seekonk. Interment followed at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
