DR Summer Reading Hunt

This summer words will be displayed around the towns of Dighton and Rehoboth for students to "collect" on a list they were provided. The hunt was based on a book called the Word Collector by Peter H. Reynolds, who recently visited our schools. teachers were polled and asked to share their favorite word. Then students were provided with lists of the teacher's names and the word definitions but not the words themselves. As they travel around town this summer, they can match the meanings and the words they find. Students are also given blank cards. So they could display their favorite words. I've included a word that can be displayed in the Reporter for students to "collect" if you choose to include this story. I'm also including a few photos from our visit with Peter H. Reynolds.
