Kids Summer Learning

The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering E-Sports June 28- July 2, July 12-16, and July 26-30 with Mr. Jay Duddy from Berkley Middle School. This class runs from 9:00am-11:00am. This class will teach students about the history of gaming, the benefits of teamwork, the effectiveness of strategy in games, and overall have a great time doing it! The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Patterns and Printing August 2-6 with Ms. Kyla Schmigle from Somerset Berkley Regional High School. This class will be offered from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. In this class students will get the chance to experiment with several types of printing while discovering repeat patterns. Students will get the opportunity to stamp a usable bag and work with everyday items to make unique prints on greeting cards. The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering The World of Minecraft July 6-9, July 12-16, July 19-23, July 26-30, and August 2-6 with Mr. Jay Duddy from Berkley Middle School. This class is available to both students in grades 3-6 and grades 6-8 and runs from 9:00am-11:00am. This class gives students the opportunity to use one of the most popular creative tools to build and explore the Minecraft universe. Students will be able to learn how to use basic controls, explore, plan, create, and build their own buildings and landmarks to allow their visions to come to life. The students will use Minecraft as a learning tool and show them the benefits of teamwork, planning, trial and error, and freedom of imagination. The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Summer Strings June 28-July 2 from 9:00am-11:00am. This class is geared towards students with one to three years of play experience of a string instrument. Students will be expanding their knowledge while learning new techniques and exploring musical genres. At the end of the week students will showcase their skills.
