Members of the Fire Department were honored for their service with a pinning ceremony at Francis Farm June 29.
Selectman Rob Johnson explained the ceremony was held to mark “a significant milestone in a firefighter’s career, to recognize new recruits, and promotions within the department.”
Fire Chief Peter Graves was among those to have his badge pinned by family members.
Graves, previously the Captain of North Station, was appointed by the Board of Selectmen to replace former Chief Mark Haskell, who was terminated by the board on April 21.The reason cited was a dispute over a solar farm project located next to Haskell’s home.
