Lucille T. (Cayer) Karol, 94, of Seekonk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. "Fred" Karol, who died in 2008. They were married on May 7, 1947.

Born in Central Falls, RI, on October 26, 1927, a daughter of the late Leonidas A. and Eva L. (Tremblay) Cayer, she was raised in Pawtucket, RI, and educated at St. Cecilia's School and in the Pawtucket Public schools.

At the time of her death, she had resided at her home in Seekonk for nearly 72 years.

Lucille is survived by two loving sons, Stephen J. Karol of Attleboro, and Jeffrey A. Karol and his wife, Deborah Davenport Karol, of Wrentham.

She is also survived by two devoted grandchildren, Ashley H. Wells and her husband, Russell, of Wrentham, and Nathan T. Karol and his wife, Kerry, of Bethlehem, NH; two cherished great-grandchildren, Noah T. Karol and Sophie G. Karol, also of Bethlehem; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lucille was preceded in death by three sisters, Estelle E. Rowse, Reina I. Jaskierny, and Claire A. Bessette.

Lucille's family would like to extend their gratitude to the entire staff at All American Assisted Living at Wrentham for the extraordinary care and comfort they provided to her over the past six months.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, June 29, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP FUNERAL HOME, 1008 Newport Avenue (Route 1-A), Pawtucket, RI (www.trippfuneralhome.com), followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Cecilia's Parish (St. John Paul II), 755 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Interment with her late husband will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro.

In an effort to keep everyone safe, we do ask that all unvaccinated guests please enter the funeral home with a mask as a precautionary measure. We appreciate your cooperation and will have masks available for your convenience.
