Dorothy Nixon Shaw

Dorothy Nixon Shaw 85, of Circle Drive, Riverside died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 24, 2023 at The Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Stanley A. Shaw, Jr.

Born in Oceana, VA, a daughter of the late John Edward and Mary (Sawyer) Nixon, she was a resident of Barrington for 32 years as a member of the St. Andrew's School community before moving to Riverside in 1993. She was an Administrative Assistant at Tockwotton Home and St. Elizabeth Place (formerly Westminster Place) in Providence for many years before her retirement.

Besides her husband of 64 years, she is survived by her daughter, Mary A. Shaw (Bobbe) of Cumberland; son, Michael B. Shaw of Riverside; son, Stephen J. Shaw (Sara) of Greensboro, NC; and son, David A. Shaw (Robin) of Smithfield.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 3-6 p.m. in the

W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI.

Her funeral will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 from the
