Exciting Renovations Underway at Weaver Library – Temporary Closure Announcement

East Providence, R.I. - We’re thrilled to announce some exciting changes coming to Weaver Library! As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a more welcoming, functional, and inspiring space for our community, the library is undergoing a thoughtful redesign to better serve you.

Construction is already in progress, and to safely complete the final phase of renovations.

Weaver Library will be temporarily closed from August 27 through September 7. Here’s what you need to know during the closure:

Borrowing Services Continue
While the building is closed, borrowing services, including returns and hold pickups, will still be available with a few adjustments.
Library staff will be stationed at a table near the front entrance to assist you.

Placing & Picking Up Holds
Place holds through our online catalog or by calling the library.
Pick up your items at the front entrance:
Tuesday–Thursday: 12 PM – 6 PM
Fridays & Saturdays: 12 PM – 5 PM (except 8/30)
Fully closed 8/30-9/1 for Labor Day weekend

Limited Services at Weaver During Closure
Please note: Printing, scanning, and faxing will not be available at Weaver during this time.
These services, along with all regular library offerings, will remain available at our Riverside Branch during normal hours.
