Q & A with Ty Enos
We sat down with Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School's number one men's cross-country runner, Ty Enos. He agreed to spend a few minutes answering questions about anything and everything. Here's what he had to say.
Q: So Ty, you’re the top cross-country runner at Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School. How are your times this year?
A: I haven’t gotten to my personal record so far this season, but hopefully I’ll get back there.
Q: How’s school going so far this year?
A: This year’s my first year taking AP classes. It’s just a little extra challenge I think I can handle.
Q: What’s your favorite class?
A: AP Composition. I’ve taken a liking to writing.
Q: You’re an accomplished runner and a good student. Are colleges starting to show interest in you as a scholar athlete?
A: I had a couple of letters sent to me last year, and one this year. So yeah, a little bit, but not too much.
Q: When you bring some music with you on a workout, what’s on your iPod?
A: Pearl Jam. I love Pearl Jam. Eddie Vedder gets me pumped up so much.
Q: Who’s the funniest person on the cross-country team?
A: There are a lot of funny people. The funniest, maybe Alden Foelsche.
Q: If you forget your own iPod and need to borrow a teammate’s, who do you ask first? Who has the best selection?
A: Nate Chartier. He seems to like all the 90’s alternative that I do.
Q: Do you make it out to other sporting events, to support your classmates?
A: I like going to football games when they’re home. A lot of my friends are on varsity football.
Q: When you’re not running, doing homework, going to football games, or listening to 90’s alternative rock, what do you do for fun?
A: Video games.
Q: What system do you play on?
A: Xbox (360).
Q: If you open the disc tray on your Xbox 360 right now, what’s in there?
A: Probably Dark Souls. It’s a nerdy dungeon game I like to play.
Q: Have you seen a good movie lately, or is there something big coming out that you’re looking forward to seeing?
A: I don’t know. I heard Taken 2 wasn’t very good. I wanted it to be really good because the first one was so awesome but I heard it was kind of dumb.
Q: Are you a big Liam Neeson fan?
A: Eh, a little bit. He’s a pretty intense guy.
Our thanks to Ty Enos for spending a few minutes on the hot seat.
